Kirsti Appleby is the Education Coordinator for Integrated Idaho. She has overeight years of experience working in the education field in many capacities. During hersenior year of high school she tutored many students in the Special Educationdepartment covering many different subjects. She then went on to study education atthe University of Idaho where she got her Bachelor of Science degree in ElementaryEducation with an endorsement in mathematics. She has worked at the Boys and GirlsClub of Kootenai county, first through Americorps VISTA then as a regular employee. She has also been a substitute teacher in a couple local school districts, and she was atutor at Sylvan Learning Center. She has also been, and still continues to be, a privatetutor during the school year. All of these experiences have taught her something new,and she enjoyed every single one of them.
This has led her to where she is now, and she couldn’t be happier. Originallyplanning to be a public school teacher, she thoroughly enjoys the work she does atIntegrated. She started as a mentor in August of 2021, then became an educationassistant, then an education lead, all leading up to where she is now as an EducationCoordinator. When asked what her favorite part about her job is, she said “the people Iwork with. It makes the job fun and exciting because with so many differentpersonalities, you never know what is going to happen next. And the support fromeveryone from the owners, to the directors, coordinators, leads, and mentors is justamazing.” Her next goal is to get her Masters in Special Education.
Kirsti enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, and sometimes byherself. She enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, longboarding, painting, writing, andsinging to name a few. Throughout her life she has become a fan of Harry Potter,Hunger Games, Mortal Instruments series, Infernal Devices series, Marvel, Once Upona Time, and many others. They all have given her an escape when she needed it, orsomething fun to get involved in. “Life is an adventure, and I can’t wait for what comesnext.”
