Integrated is happy to announce the latest addition to our team, Greg Hitchcock M.Ed., P.P.S. Greg has been a prolific figure in the Behavioral Health community for decades, and we are excited to welcome him as our Director of Outreach.
Greg first met Integrated Interventions CEO Terry Edelmann while fly fishing on the Green River in Utah with fellow Executive Directors while attending the Wilderness Therapy Symposium. With shared passions for helping youth and young adults and holding common core values for quality treatment, a connection was made. That first fly fishing trip was Greg's introduction to our program's unique community-based approach, custom fit treatment, and utilization of the metrics of Spiral Dynamics.
What initially attracted Greg to Integrated was our customized programming providing tailored solutions while immersing a student into the community. After referring a student and family to Integrated who were struggling to find a placement, Greg saw how the model worked from the “outside in versus the inside out.” Being able to see tangible evidence of the student thriving in our model, Greg began to establish trust and an understanding of how we achieve successful outcomes with our students and families.
“There is definitely some magic here at Integrated...and the magic thrives out of the relationship based approach to each student. One on One mentoring makes a safe environment for a student to put themselves in a position to move forward, to grow and to create change in their own life… continuing to set goals, and achieve those goals. The real catalyst for change at Integrated is that it is truly customized to each student’s needs. The program is truly built to serve the individual’s highest and best purpose, to uncover the gifts and talents within that person and serve that in real life. That’s the difference; they are out in real life, and they have the support of direct mentoring while living in the community.” - G. Hitchcock
Before joining the Integrated team, Greg spent over twenty-five years serving within the treatment community. Greg has a multi-faceted professional background as an educator, executive, consultant and entrepreneur in the behavioral health, mental health and addiction treatment industries. He has founded and directed a number of successful programs that have taken him from the tent to the boardroom.
As a nationally sought-after consultant, Greg has had the opportunity to envision and launch therapeutic programs in Honduras and Russia, present seminars and workshops at national conferences, and help numerous therapeutic programs grow in quality, enrollments and leadership. Greg has a Bachelor’s Degree from Houghton College with a double major in Literature and Adventure Recreation, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling from the University of Redlands. His educational background combined with his extensive field and administrative experiences across the continuum of care, provides for strong dynamic leadership while retaining a grassroots sensitivity to both participants and their families. When Greg is not busy at Integrated, he enjoys boating, backpacking, and skiing with his wife Charlene and three children Kaden, Jackson, and Tristan. Greg is also an avid mountaineer and fly-fisherman.
“Greg has thirty years of hands on treatment experience, program development and resource management. With all the different kinds of experience, Greg brings a lot to the table. We see him as a vital part of our progression and national expansion,” - Terry Edelmann CEO of Integrated Interventions.
Integrated is excited to have Greg as part of our team and proud to be recognized by Greg as a company to invest his expertise and talents in. He believes in our potential as a program that provides our students with sustainable growth in order to move forward in their lives.
